Dr Syed Ahmed acquired a degree in Neurosciences followed by Medicine from the Imperial college, London in 2000. He completed his training in Medicine in the London region and undertook hematology training in the North London hospitals including Royal Free Hospital , Hammersmith Hospital and St Mary’s gaining experience in hematology and bone marrow transplantation. Since 2012, he has been a consultant hematologist at King Faisal specialist Hospital and Research Centre and was the first Director of the Adult CAR-T program. He has an interest in cellular therapy and acute leukemia as well as inherited myeloid predisposition to cancers. He is actively involved in promoting advanced therapies in the region.
