Amanda Silva-Brun

Amanda Silva Brun (PharmD, PhD, Harvard Business School alumna) is a Research Director at CNRS and Université Paris Cité. Her work at the NABI laboratory (UMR8175) and the IVETh industrial integrator focuses on innovative approaches in biotherapy and the bioproduction of extracellular vesicles for regenerative medicine. Her research and patents laid the foundation for the creation of two start-ups: EverZom and Evora Bioscience. In 2020, Amanda received the Health Innovators Award from the Île-de-France Region, followed by the CNRS Innovation Medal in 2021 and recognition in Le Point’s Inventors’ Ranking in 2023. Her current research projects in bioengineering are funded by the European Research Council (ERC) and France 2030. In 2023, she was appointed to the Regional Scientific Council of the Île-de-France Region. Amanda is the coordinator of the DIM Bioconvergence for Health (BioconvS) program (€12.5 million), which structures and accelerates innovation in bioproduction, biotherapies, and synthetic biology in the Île-de-France Region, bringing together over 700 members. She also leads a European working group on science and innovation — INPACT! — which includes more than 120 members from over 20 countries in Europe. Amanda's primary goal is to  amplify the socio-economic impact of scientific discoveries.
