Christian Chabannon is the Qualified Person for the Centre de Thérapie Cellulaire that associates the Cell Collection Facility and the Cell Processing Facility at Institut Paoli-Calmettes Comprehensive Cancer Center, in Marseille, France.

He coordinated the efforts to prepare the onboarding of Institut Paoli-Calmettes for the delivery of approved CAR-T Cells following the first wave of approval in Europe. Christian Chabannon is also a Professor of Medicine in Cell Biology at Aix-Marseille Université School of Medicine.

He is the current Chair of The EBMT Cellular Therapy & Immunobiology Working Party (CTIWP), and has been the Chair of the JACIE Accreditation Committee in the past.
