OVERVIEW OF TOXICITIES AFTER CAR T CELL THERAPY

October 15th

Jordan Gauthier is an Assistant Professor at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC) and the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. He was the first physician to be awarded the FHCRC Immunotherapy Integrated Research Center Fellowship Award. An expert in the field of CAR-T cell therapy and hematopoietic cell transplantation, Dr. Gauthier has made significant contributions to the CAR T-cell therapy field; specifically, he was the first to characterize the factors associated with outcomes after repeat infusions of CD19 CAR T cells in patients with relapsed or refractory B cell malignancies. In addition, he evaluated an innovative combinatorial approach using ibrutinib concurrently with CD19 CAR T cells in patients with refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia. His research also focuses on predicting and preventing severe toxicities after CAR T-cell therapy, such as cytokine release syndrome and neurologic toxicity.
