Romaric Lacroix, PharmD, PhD, is Professor of Hematology and Immunology (PU-PH) at Aix-Marseille University and Senior Hospital Practitioner at La Timone University Hospital (APHM, Marseille). At the Center for Cardiovascular and Nutrition Research of Marseille (C2VN), led by Prof. Françoise Dignat-George, he heads the Extracellular Vesicles group. Following a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School (Furie Lab), he developed a research programme on the role of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in coagulation and fibrinolysis, and on their applications as biomarkers and potential therapeutic agents. He has built a recognized expertise in flow cytometry applied to EVs, and has coordinated several international multicentre standardization studies on EV measurement within the ISTH SSC subcommittees, which he co-chaired. Honorary Scientist at the University of Aberdeen, he has authored nearly 100 publications and 4 patents, mostly dedicated to EVs.
