Roman Galetto started research activities as a Clinical Biochemist in the field of inborn errors of metabolism. After a PhD on transcriptional regulation of the apolipoprotein E gene, he joined the Pasteur Institute in Paris as a postdoc to study the mechanisms of genetic recombination of the HIV-1 virus. He joined Cellectis in September 2007 where he has held several positions covering the different stages related to allogeneic CAR T-cell development: In his current role at Cellectis he oversees the non-clinical data packages and IND-enabling studies of product candidates and performs cross-functional program management for programs in early stages of clinical development.
