CELL THERAPIES INCLUDING INDUCED PLURIPOTENT STEM CELL-DERIVED AND ENGINEERED IMMUNE CELLS (KURSAAL CONF ROOM)

September 20th

A doctor in biology, the Bisontinental Inserm researcher worked for nearly ten years within Inserm's Joint Research Unit 1098 - hosted by the Etablissement français du sang Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, in Besançon - in the development of therapeutic approaches to control the inflammatory response. After defending his thesis in 2005 on the use of apoptotic cells as a cell therapy product to modulate post-transplant alloreactivity, he went to Washington, D.C., as a post-doctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health. Returning to Besançon to validate his work, this time in applied research, he filed a patent for SuperMApo in 2013 and that same year won a prize at the 15th national competition for innovative technology companies, which encouraged him to create his start-up.
