TAYLOR Naomi

Naomi Taylor, MD, PhD, is Deputy Director of the Center for Cancer Research and a Senior Investigator in the Pediatric Oncology Branch at the National Cancer Institute, NIH. After studying at Princeton University and the Weizmann Institute, she earned her MD/PhD at Yale University, completed pediatric training at Yale and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and established her independent laboratory at the Institut de Génétique Moléculaire in Montpellier, France, where she remains an Adjunct Professor at the Université de Montpellier. Her research integrates immunology, metabolism, and gene engineering to develop next-generation cell and gene therapies for cancer. Her laboratory has made seminal contributions to T-cell immunotherapy, metabolic regulation of hematopoiesis, and the development of metabolically engineered CAR T-cell therapies. Dr. Taylor is an elected member of the Association of American Physicians and recipient of numerous awards for research, mentoring, and scientific leadership.
